Palma, Spain - All inclusive with toddlers

Since Cass hasn't grown up with any siblings, sometimes I feel a little guilty when we take him away, he is now at an age where he wants somebody to play with, mum and dad just aren't the same! My good friend has a little boy 4 months younger than cass, so we decided to take the boys away together, somewhere, close, quick and cheap!

After debating flight and hotel, package, bed and breakfast...we chose an all inclusive deal with thomas cook, £389 each! for for me and cass £389 all inclusive with flights, transfers and hotel! Bargain! The flights were at 6:30 am, so i put cass to bed at 6...woke him up at 3....we got a taxi to the airport, the boys took it in turns with meltdowns...Cass was first, a 2 hour flight he just didnt seem to be able to cope! He has been on flights a hell of a lot longer...I cannot say I wasn't stressed! Rupert had a serious meltdown at passport control and decided not to nap on the 1.5hr coach journey, but cass admitted defeat and laid down!

We arrived around lunch time, food was basic, but edible, there was definitely at least something for everybody, salads, fruit, pastas, rice, potatoes, chips, desserts, a range of drinks, so we were happy, we could also bribe the boys with the odd ice cream as these were included all day!

We were all incredibly tired on the first day, we had spent a while at the pool, had lunch, went for a walk to the beachfront, the scenery was absolutely beautiful, tonnes of restaurants, but we were each very indecisive about where to eat!

The hotel has kids disco and a play park, the boys had a great time together and became very good friends, it was lovely seeing play together and occupying each other while we had the chance to chat and have 1 or 2 of the all inclusive alcoholic drinks! We were very happy with the cost and quality of the hotel for the price. We wouldn't have had to spend a penny if we didn't want to!

We visited the beach a few times, it was about a 20min walk, the sand was like fire! So footwear is a must! We got an inflatable boat for the chaps to play in, the sea was warm and there were lots of fishes swimming around!

If you do have only children, it is great to go away once in awhile with other kids, me and win can't offer him what another kid his age can, it just isn't the same.

Considering the whole trip cost less than £400 each from thomas cook, we had a fantastic time, topped up our tans and the little chaps had the time of their lives! The perfect little trip and super convenient! Like I say, don't rule out the all inclusive holiday completely!
